LifeScience Logistics works to strengthen the supply chain for government and commercial health care warehouses and distribution. WG was challenged with providing multidisciplinary engineering design for the newest LifeScience location in Auburndale, FL.

The warehouse will hold “Group A plastics”, which have a higher heat of combustion and will burn faster than other plastics. Fire protection design was provided for a sprinkler system that was best for the company’s unique situation.

A generator-based energy was designed for the entirety of the warehouse. Due to it’s massive size WG was tasked with coordinating MEP design for five different generators that will run throughout the facility. We also had to design a cold storage facility for the specialty products LifeScience Logistics has.

To provide a strong supply chain, allowing for health care products to get to companies efficiently, the warehouse required ramp modifications. Structural design was provided for the ramps to ensure delivery trucks are properly supported when arriving at the facility.
